Purveyors of all things tropical - Sofrito are currently readying the release of the third instalment in their Sofrito Super Singles Series. For this outing Basel's Alma Negra deliver three percussion heavy tracks at the crossroads between organic & electronic sounds, inspired by the Carnival celebrations on the Cape Verdean island of Santiago. The A-side, "Mageko", sets it's foundation on a rolling bassline peppered with manic chants, sounding like a long-lost Afro Disco dub.
