@TREKKIE-TRAX Interview + Tracklist: http://nesthq.com/interview-guest-mix-trekkie-trax In 2012, a group of teenage DJs — Andrew, futatsuki, Seimei, and his brother, Taimei (Carpainter) — met for the first time in a bar in Tokyo after responding to a Twitter reach out about the launch of a party called U-20 (Under Twenty), lead by an artist named DJ Bank. Since none of them had a following at this point, they ended up playing to an empty room while getting to know each other’s styles. Andrew was playing Daft Punk style disco house, Seimei was playing Skream, Taimei was playing his early techno productions, and futatsuki was playing Skrillex and Nero. This somewhat random meetup lead to the longstanding friendship of each of the artists who played that day, and later, their founding of a label called TREKKIE TRAX.
