'LA Times' New Owner Plans To Compete With 'New York Times,' 'Washington Post'
The Los Angeles Times has a new owner. Patrick Soon-Shiong takes over the paper, as well as the San Diego Union-Tribune and several community and suburban publications in a $590 million deal.
