Venezuela Relaunches Currency In Attempt To Curb Hyperinflation
Venezuela is relaunching its currency this week — lopping five zeros off the old bolivar and pegging the new to a crypto-currency called the Petro. This is an attempt to control runaway inflation that the International Monetary Fund estimates could hit 1 million percent this year.
