Futebol!:A beginner's guide to foreign newcomers- Brasileirão teams / Um guia dos times do brasileirão para os gringo parça que querem conhecer o futebol BR

Hey guys!

I've been noticing an influx of foreign interested people about brazilian football, so I thought about leaving a post talking a little about every Brasileirão team that is on the first division in 2023. Every aid is welcome. I'll try to arrange them in (brazilian) alphabetical order.

Miner America (America-MG)- A traditional team from General Mines (MG in Brazilian), though smaller team than Cruise and Cock. In the past decades has been through lower divisions, got to be a yo-yo team, and most recently has stabilized a bit on the first division. Has recently qualified for the Liberators Cup, the most important competition in South America, equivalent to the UCL in Europe. In the state championship, has been putting up a fight to rival Cock and Cruise.

Paranaense Athletic (Athletico-PR) - Also know as "Hurricane", Athletic is a very well operated club from Paraná who has a rivalry with Coritiba. Many would argue that it is the first club to have broken through the traditionalism that would be the "12 big clubs" from Brazil, as they not only have got putting good performances in the competitions, but also have been winning some trophies in national and international level.

If you want to enter the meme world that this sub offers us, you must know that this club went through rebranding in the last decade. Not only they changed their logo, but also changed from "Atletico" to "Athletico" with an H, what makes no sense at all in brazilian language. People were confused as this letter has no use there, so frequently people type trying to guess where the f*** would they put their H, resulting in things like "Atlhetico", "Atlethico" and "Atleticho". If only loses to the flabbergasting question: "What would happen if a keeper saves a shot with their hat?"

Goianiense Athletic (Atlético-GO) - also known as "Dragon", they are a growing club from Goiás state whose biggest rival would be Goiás, who were (are?) the biggest club from the state. Dragon was a irrelevant club (no offense intended) until last decade, so they reaching the first division and keeping up for so long is no small feat. They tend to be a mid-to-lower table team, who eventually gets relegated and comes back again.

For their history, winning 4 out the last 5 state championships is also something to be taken in consideration.

Miner Athletic (Atlético-MG) - mostly known as "Cock", Atlético is a big club from General Mines as well. Cock went through a very harsh era in the early 2000's with relegations and banter era, but came out on top after the wizard (R10) helped them winning a Liberator's Cup for the first time. They also very recently got to win the Brasileirão again after a long long time, so one could say it is a great time to be a Cock fan.

I know it might sound curious, but if someone in brazilian says "big cock of the pasta", they are talking about Atlético.

(I'll be adding things as the day passes, if I break in many posts it might be harder to keep up)
