if you ask an argentine, they will tell you the H2H is 42 v 41 in favor of brazil. if you ask a brazilian, they will tell you it is 43 v 39. Ive managed to find the 5 key matches that create this discrepancy, but Im unable to find the official FIFA H2H record to set things straight. can somebody please guide me to a place with the official record?
the 5 matches are
- 6th october 1920. argentina wins but brazil plays with some argentine players due to the fact many brazilian players refused to play for being called racist names. argentina wins
- 22th october 1922. brazil plays both the final match of the south american championship, and the copa roca with argentina. the argentines say it was only sao paulo federation and doesnt count brazilian victory
- 2th december 1923. same thing but in reverse, argentina plays both in montevideo and with brazil. brazil wins, but argentina doesnt count it as far as im aware.
- 5th december 1956. argentina wins in rio but brazilians say that the team was a selection of players from rio not brazil as a whole.
- 11th august 1968. brazil wins but argentina says it is a team of rio not brazil.
